LATEST NEWS !

As an experienced painter and paperhanger and chapter president of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers, Tom Kalinoski and his subcontractors understand the importance of giving back to charitable organizations and the community.

Last year, Tom and his crew installed wallpaper at the CHAD (Center for Hearing and Deafness) in West Chester, PA.  Tom chose this charity because of his personal experience with hearing loss.

"Having people repeat themselves while communicating on the phone was causing me to lose business, so I knew it was time to get more help. I investigated CHAD and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services in Rosemont, PA  through the advice of a friend. The counselors at the CHAD center advised me on alternatives including getting help from the other agencies to help pay for two new digital hearing aids which far surpassed what my home state of Connecticut ever provided. It was just two months before I was fitted with the new hearing aids!"

Later Kalinoski received coaching and advise from mentors of other people with hearing loss.

He learned to succeed in a hearing world through the use of better technology such as captioning, door flashers, relay service, and hearing aids.

Today, thanks to CHAD, Kalinoski wears BAHA’S, bone anchor hearing aids which helps him hear normally in order to communicate better with his customers. He continues to educate folks with hearing loss on how to improve the quality of life through group support at the PA chapters of Hearing Loss Association of America, (formally SHHH, Self Help for the Hard of Hearing.)

Kalinoski and his crew decided to give back to the CHAD center last November by redecorating the conference room and hall with new walls and contemporary commercial fabric backed wall covering to beautify the previous dismal environment.

New and existing clients including HLAA, (Hearing Loss Association of America,) of Pennsylvania now get to hold their meetings and conferences in a more “POSH” like co-op center!
